Consultation & Supervision

For the cliniciandoing the work.

Every therapist has cases where they aren't sure what to do next.

Why clinicians come

You don't
have to wait.

I love sitting with another therapist and thinking through a case. It's one of my favorite parts of my work. You don't have to wait until the work has stopped moving to seek consultation, and it can also be a place to stay curious, continue learning, and keep your clinical thinking alive.

When you're sitting with a client week after week, it's easy to become so close to the work that certain things become difficult to see. As someone on the outside, I can help you look at the case from a different angle. Together, we'll slow the case down enough to notice what has been hard to see, get a richer understanding of the person, and discover new possibilities for the work.

You don't have to arrive
knowing exactly what you need.

My Training & Background

How I
work.

My consultation is informed by Attachment-Focused EMDR, Somatic Experiencing, and psychodynamic thinking. As an EMDRIA-Approved Consultant and an Attachment-Focused EMDR Consultant and Facilitator with the Parnell Institute, I offer consultation for therapists seeking EMDR certification and clinicians wanting to deepen their EMDR work.

But you don't have to be trained in EMDR to consult with me. We can think psychodynamically, work somatically, and find ways of bringing the body and nervous system more fully into the work you're already doing.

I'm also interested in what happens between you and your client. Where do you find yourself working harder, pulling back, feeling protective, frustrated, or unsure? Our own responses can give us important information about what may be happening in the work.

How we'd work

Bring the case, bring what you're learning.

iA first conversation

A short call, no charge, about what you're hoping consultation gives you.

iiIndividual or group

I offer both individual and group consultation. Some therapists come around a particular case, or when something in the work needs another perspective. Others use consultation more regularly as an ongoing place to think, learn, and keep developing their clinical work.

iiiHow often

There doesn't have to be one set frequency. We can meet as needed or establish something more ongoing, depending on what is most useful to you.

ivOnline

Consultation is offered online, which allows me to work with clinicians wherever they are.

A First Conversation

If something here resonates.

I take a small number of consultees at a time. We start with a brief, free phone call. It's an opportunity to ask any questions and a way to feel whether this is a fit.
